I'm not sure you can do it other than pictorially. Try 3d polyline and change the width. What you really need is a modeling program that has the sweep command, such as solidworks. It's easy, create a helix and sweep it with the pipe shape. Sorry, autocad is good for 2d cad but limited as a modeler.

if you have 2007 you can now draw a helix and use that for your path using the extrusion command.
this has been done in autocad before 2007 too. your best bet is to search the autodesk ng's
