I've tried different ways of saving it but I can't open it in movie maker. I'm no computer wiz so I'll take any help I can get.

I need to edit them in imovie. i recorded them on dvd plus R. do i need to record them on dvd -r

My digital camcorder uses 8cm disks and I want to put videos that I record onto the computer. The camcorder does not have a spot to plug directly into the computer. It does say "DVD +RW/-RW/-R Compatible" on the camcorder.
The camcorder is about 5 years old, would it still support firewire?
